Research and development overview in Partisia

Explore Partisia's R&D journey — from pioneering MPC innovations to quantum-proof and AI solutions shaping tomorrow's secure digital frontier.

World-leading R&D impacts all of our products

Partisia is a pioneer in the commercial use of advanced cryptography like MPC and blockchain technologies. Our team of world-leading researchers and experts ensures the shortest path from the design of cryptographic protocols to commercially viable software solutions.

From launching the world's first large-scale commercial use of MPC to advancing secure key management and combining distributed ledger and MPC technologies, Partisia has consistently delivered breakthrough innovations that shape the future of secure digital infrastructure.

Pioneering since 2008

A track record of cryptographic firsts

Pioneering zero-knowledge computation

Partisia has been pioneering zero-knowledge computation since 2008 with the first large-scale commercial use of MPC, documented in the landmark paper MPC goes live. We pioneered MPC-based key management (spun out in 2013, exited in 2022) and now lead the merger of distributed ledger and MPC technologies.

Reducing computational overhead

Since the first real use of MPC, the Partisia team has been behind a large part of the R&D efforts that have reduced computational overhead by a factor of more than 1,000,000. The unique ledger-based platform curates efficient execution of MPC while securing transparency as a regulatory feature.

Public and private R&D projects

Partisia has participated in numerous publicly and privately funded R&D projects — from broad large-scale projects with many partners to focused projects with few participants — contributing to better protocols, platforms, and commercially mature products.
